October 1, 2009 Pharmia – activities for autumn 2009

Alliance of independent pharmacies Pharmia as a part of HMCgroup and EG group is heading for a new era. In September it becomes an independent joint-stock company Pharmia, a.s.

Pharmia prepares autumn cycle of courses as a part of the Education and Training Program for its members. The autumn cycle is mainly focused on pharmacist-patient communication, pharmacist communication according to particular patient typologies, communication with troubled patient etc. For pharmacy managers there are courses focused on theory and practical application of modern marketing in pharmacies.

Projects oriented on improvement of Pharmaceutical Care and Disease Management present very important parts of activities of alliance of independent pharmacies Pharmia. By the end of 2009 the measurement of customer satisfaction as one of key indicator of quality of provided care will be realized. The system of regular measurement of this indicator for the whole alliance and particular member pharmacies will be set up as well.

Pharmia also cooperates with the Czech Pharmacy Chamber, for instance on enlarging activities within project called "Senioři."

Currently the model of expansion of the new company Pharmia a.s. to European healthcare markets is prepared.
